Eszter Kováts is preparing a PhD in political science at ELTE University Budapest. She works in the Hungarian office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, where since 2012 she has been responsible for the foundation’s gender programme for east-central Europe. Katerina Smejkalova is a researcher at the FES in Prague. She is also an external consultant to the Czech minister of labour and social affairs.
