Vittorio Emanuele Parsi is an international relations professor and director of ASERI, chair of the Italian Standing Group of International Relations, author of Vulnerable: How the Pandemic Will Change the World and a columnist for Il Messaggero. He is commander of the reserve of the Italian Navy and has joined several peacekeeping missions in the middle east and search-and-rescue missions in the Mediterranean.
