Erik Oddvar Eriksen is professor emeritus at ARENA Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo, which he directed from 2008 to 2020. His research covers political theory, public policy and European integration, with a particular focus on democratic legitimacy in the European Union and on the position of non-member states. His latest book is Mechanisms of European Integration: The Force of Reasons (Routledge, 2025).
